While climbing the mountains of northern Utah, AmSnow test rider Lonnie Thompson found this unexpected sinkhole and instantly wished he had a parachute cord to pull! Thankfully, he was able to bail off his sled before it disappeared into the abyss. He made it out of the hairy situation unscathed. The sled, however, went down, down, down. A week later, it took a crew of 12 people, and mountaineer Matt Jensen (pictured), to recover it from the 100+-foot hole.
