New Triton Trailers Provide Versatility

Two new trailers we were recently introduced to on a visit to Triton Trailers in Hartland, Wisconsin were the 16-foot TC series in the 7-foot wide set-up and the ATV-90-TR series. These are two very different trailers, but both very versatile.

First, the TC-167 is a super-lightweight fully enclosed rear-access trailer. We have tested the longer version and shorter “low-rider” version of this trailer and we have enjoyed both. This is a value price-point unit as far as fully enclosed trailers go, but someone with a medium size V-6 powered SUV can tow it fully loaded. The rear door has a built-in transition that is easy-up and down when loading sleds. There is a kick panel on both walls to guide the sides of your skis in and out. The LED lights inside and out are just one of the options the one or two axle 16-footer can come with.

Inside the TC-176 you can stagger sleds for easy in/out and you can fit three trail sleds if you move them around a bit and back one in. With just two sleds, there is plenty of room for gear, accessories, parts, etc.

The second new trailer from Triton we looked over is the ATV-90-TR series. As is implied in the name, this is a modified ATV and snowmobile trailer. It is a fully open trailer, that comes in 10, 14, and 18 foot lengths. With the included ramps you can load your ATV or side-by-side from the back or the side. This trailer is “built like a tank” according to Triton rep Ann Roever and after seeing the dual axle 1490 version, we are inclined to believe it. Most of us test riders agreed that would be the length most useful.

There are custom rails on this one with integrated tie down systems to satisfy almost any motorsports vehicle. Again, this trailer has sealed LED lighting all the way around and at 90-inches wide you can carry numerous sleds or ATVs, especially older model year snowmobiles.
Accessories are numerous for this dual use trailer too, including a front stone/slush guard, additional wheel stops, spare tire and carrier and much more. Check out all the trailers and accessories Triton carries at www.tritontrailers.com.
