November 29, 2011 | RIDERS LOOKING for the lightest weight stud support and best traction available will go for Stud Boy’s new Super-Lite Pro Series Backer. The strong, but very lightweight, plastic backer includes a support nut molded directly into it. The backers are available in single and double configurations in black and white. Also, the backers are available in .5-inch and .75-inch heights with singles available in .75-inch only. The double backer is used for standard tracks using “Power Point” type carbide studs. The Pro Series should be used with 1.375-inch and taller studs. The backers are available in 24-, 48-, 84- and 96-piece sets. Cost varies by size and amount.
