Last year Polaris’ big news was an explosion of the Pro-Ride (Rush) chassis across the trail and mountain lineups, and for 2012 the Pro-Ride proliferation proceeds.

Eleven new models were introduced for 2011 with some variation of the new Polaris IFS front-end and/or the Polaris Pro-Ride rear suspension that its engineers claim is the industry’s only truly progressive rate rear suspension, although Ski-Doo would argue that.

For 2012 another 9 new models roll down the line with the crossover segment receiving the bulk of the Pro-Ride attention, as Polaris effectively doubles the number of sleds available in that segment.

There is an all new “Adventure” sled that Polaris says is the first of its kind in the hybrid market, and Rush lovers will also see new 136-inch offerings.

Last year Polaris stole a lot of market share in the mountains with its new Pro-Ride 800 RMK and the mountain guys and gals got some attention this year too with a new 600 RMK in the Pro-Ride chassis. Furthermore, several hot limited edition “Snow Check only” sleds have been announced.

Polaris is on a roll and with the company coming off a year of record earnings things are looking up for the Minnesota-based manufacturer.
