That’s right, this could be Arctic Cat’s year as it rolls out lighter new chassis for its performance trail sleds, both short and long-track, and the M Series mountain machines that have always been sidehilling wonders in the powder.

The new chassis are a blend of race sled, mountain sled and the former super comfortable and durable Twin Spar chassis, Cat says, with an emphasis on making them the lightest, strong and most capable sleds on the snow.

The ProCross chassis will be used in its short-track F sled models and its long-track XF models. Three engine choices are to be offered in the new chassis this first season, the 163-horse 800 2-stroke and the 1100 4-stroke and 4-stroke turbo version. There is no 600cc motor this year, but we’re betting you’ll see one again.

The ProClimb mountain chassis will be used for the M sleds and will have a more vertical steering system, plus new tunnel to shed ice and snow better, along with a new skid.

There’s a lot more, like the new Arctic Drive System with Torque Link Control, a new race suspension up front and Radial Master Cylinder braking system. Get all the details here, if you’re a subscriber. Subscribe today and see the full story!
