Dirt to Ice times.

What do sleds run from dirt to ice?  I'm sure few have done it since dirt is 500' and ice is 660'.  Would a sled that runs a 4.70 on dirt run high 4.40's in 500' on good ice in good cold air for example?

I KNOW YOU DON,T AGREE MUCH WHAT I POST, BUT I THINK YOU WILL FIND ICE IS THE FASTEST SURFACE A SNOWMOBILE CAN RUN ON. SO YES A SNOWMOBILE WOULD HAVE A BETTER E.T. ON ICE. 3:16 (yammie '' big '' tony)

I would be suprised if there would be more then 1 tenth difference from Ice to Dirt .

Really?  Better traction, freer rolling, and WAY more HP?  That is why I thought 2+ tenths.  Somebody has to know.  The math alone suggests more than a tenth.

60ft times can be equal on the grass at many or most tracks , hp is the biggest factor , I know in the fall we can run 2 to 3 mph faster and just under 1/10 faster when the air gets good !
