You have never had a yammie disassembed beside a brand x sled. If you did it would take about 5 seconds too see the difference in the manufactering strength/quality of the components. Nice try...wrong bait. go back to Snowgoer.
OK: what do you consider 100% stock?

My tinker tells me dat Yamamas are all heavy cuz the Japanese are so small that they need the added weight. I am also thinkin dat if Yamama stuck to engineerin like Cat has they could be competition for the Big 3.

OK, my $.02 worth. My friend is approximately 400 lbs. He has 19,800 miles on his '05 Yamaha Vector. He has never replaced more than bogey wheels and slides, in his suspension. Not a SINGLE rivet or joint loose, in the entire sled. He does not baby this sled either. To heck with weight, I like the durability. With electric start and reverse, the only time you need worry about weight, is when you're lifting it or stuck. We had record snowfall last year, the only time I was stuck was when my sled got drifted in during the week. 10 minutes of shoveling in front of it, since I was parked on ice, and it walked right out. The sled was buried up to the handlebars. My brother's '88 Phazer is still going strong, with over 15,000 miles on it. One more thing. If you set up the suspension right, doesn't more weight help you hook up better for traction? Oh yeah, I have an '06 Nytro, that I actually like. It may not corner like the old sleds, but I love the power. Anyway, I'm done venting. Be safe out there.

the phazers were defenitly bulletproof! i like the yamaha triples but i HATE 4 strokes... i especially hate the people that say oh well my turbo 4 stroke will beat your two stroke...oh ya put a turbo on a 2 stroke and see what happens! 4 strokes are for yard work and people too lazy to mix thier gas or add oil. ive drove a 4 stroke sled and it was a big heavy turd!
because one stroke isnt enough and 4 strokes waste 2

Well, this big heavy turd; smokes my friend's 800 Storm 0-90; then his walks. Mine's bone stock, his '95 Storm he bought set up for ice drags. I liked the tripples too. I traded off my Venom, for this Nytro. One thing I don't miss, is the exhaust. I've gotten sick from it, my entire life: from my dad's '72 Panther to my brother's Phazer. It didn't stop me from riding though. It's funny how I can pick out the sled I just met on the trail at night, by the smell of the exhaust. I know what you mean about turbo bragging. But, why do AC and Polaris need to run more cc and turbo, to put out the same hp. ('09 AC Z1 exception, 177 hp; yikes). And, yeah I was sick of carrying/worrying about oil. I got sick of getting more than 200 miles from home, then at the mercy of the gas stations about oil. I only get about 1000 miles/year, but the few weekends I do get out, I'll put on 200-300 miles in a day. Not to mention, all the brands have had heavier sleds at some point. How heavy were the early Indy Storm, Mach Z, and Thundercat? Also, how heavy are AC, Polaris and Ski-Doo's 4-strokes?

That made me laugh. Those Ski Doo four strokes aren't that heavy.
