Maybe it’s because some of my fondest memories of my early days of snowmobiling were riding with dad on poker runs to raise money for clubs, or working the grill with my grandpa at Winter Carnivals selling hot dogs to help our trail fund. But I appreciate any person or business that gives back to clubs. Without associations and clubs none of us would have more than our backyards to ride in. Clubs and members are snowmobilings’ lifeblood.
That’s why we appreciate Ski-Doo’s Club Support Program. Last year it gave $720,000 back to club in the U.S. and Canada. Now it’s back for a second season, despite the down economy.
How can you help? The program is simple, AmSnow is printing a coupon (p. 11 this issue) and all you have to do is fill it out and submit it at a Ski-Doo dealer of your choice. $10 will be donated by Ski-Doo to your club with each submitted coupon. No strings attached!
Each club is eligible for up to $1,500 in cash. I can’t think of an easier way to make money for your club! I know my grandpa would’ve loved to have a program like this vs. relying on hot dog sales! Ski-Doo also will be giving away two new sleds in the U.S. and two sleds in Canada to some lucky clubs for them to use for further fundraising.
For your club to be eligible to win a sled you must have a club member participation rate in the program of at least 75% and your club must have raised at least $1,500 in submitted coupons. That means if 150 members of a 200-person club submit a coupon, then the club would be eligible to win a sled to auction off.
Ski-Doo’s club support is assuring snowmobiling continues to have a healthy trail system, social network and that future generations can enjoy the sport. We’ll second that! More info: www.ski-doo.com, or visit your local dealer.
