Polaris QuickDrive2 Drive System Complements New Series 8 Track

March 2020 Feature

The second generation of Polaris’ exclusive QuickDrive Drive system will be found on select 2021 mountain sleds.

You’ll remember that the QuickDrive replaces the more traditional chaincase and is one way Polaris made the Pro RMK lighter for the mountains. The new QuickDrive2 is a SnowCheck (March 2-April 15) exclusive feature and was designed to provide even quicker response when you press the throttle (read: getting the power to the track) and less effort for the rider in technical riding situations.

In part, that means when you need to let off the throttle a touch to make a turn in deep powder on a hillside/mountain or negotiate around some trees while boondocking and then get back on the throttle the sled responds quicker with the QuickDrive2.

QuickDrive2 has a low inertia design that features a 10 percent gearing reduction. QuickDrive 2 also has a new belt construction that was co-developed with Gates. According to Polaris officials, the internal makeup of the belt is completely different and was optimized to work with the QuickDrive2’s new sprocket diameters.

The original QuickDrive is still available for 2021 on select Pro RMK and Khaos models.

Here’s a rundown of the models with the new QuickDrive2:
