USLED: University of Snow – Leadership and Education Day

Salt Lake City, Utah – To give sledders one day to learn and elevate their backcountry experiences, USLED has rounded up some of the best talent on the snow to teach us.

USLED is a conference for the motorized backcountry enthusiast with workshops to learn and grow in your confidence and abilities. The conditions keep changing and so we should adapt and grow each year and share out knowledge with others to keep ourselves and others safe.

Snowmobilers and snowbikers alike need to attend to be part of the discussions put on by Dan Gardiner, Randy Sugihara, Matt Entz, Phatty (Geoff) Dyer, Nate Zollinger and more.

Keynote speakers will be Mark Staples, Director of Utah Avalanche Center and Fred Hayes, Director of Utah State Parks. After that attendees will be broken into smaller groups to discuss such topics as suspension setup, clutching tips, snowbike set up turbo set up, avalanche gear, items to have on you, search and rescue and clothing selection.

It will be held at the Salt Lake Community College campus at 9750 South 300 West,  Sandy, UT. It all starts at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 11 for onsite registration.

The conference begins at 9 a.m. with lunch included with your ticket. There will be a beer garden at 5 p.m.

Sponsors include Back Country Institute, Utah Snowmobile Association, Utah Avalanche Center, Boondockers, Grit Insurance and Alpine Assassins.
