longterm review rox flextec handguards

Amsnow
If you’re looking for some of the best aftermarket snowmobile-specific handguards, then look no further. AmSnow has tested Flex-Tec guards for several seasons, and we haven’t truly broken a single set. Sleds on their sides, rolled over, against trees – these have, for the most part, endured unscathed!

With more than a dozen color combos, there is something for everyone. Install them in 10 minutes or less. The mounts are CNC machined and will work on Arctic Cat ProCross/ProClimb models, Yamaha SR Viper, and Polaris Snowmobiles with factory Pro Taper handlebars.

There are two things we like best about these guards. First, they are rigid enough to deflect branches and debris and not bend in the wind, but they are still flexible enough that they won’t break if you roll a sled over or hit something. Second, the size and shape of the guards actually helps deflect cold air from your hands.

One thing we will say is that bigger windshields (medium to extra-tall) may not work with these guards. This was evident on our Polaris demo sleds. Just measure before you install. Rox will work with you no matter what sled you have to find the right fit. Cost is $189.95 with mounting kit.
