Officials from the World Snowmobile Association (WSA) and Polaris Professional Series (PPS) have announced that Polaris Professional Series will become a major partner of the WSA and it's series, and will become the "Official Work Vehicle of the WSA."

PPS will be providing a number of vehicles from their remarkable Workmobiles line of utility vehicles, as well as a number of examples from its superb line of generators, which will be utilized by both the WSA's premiere international circuit, the Snocross Worldwide Championship (SWC) presented by Ford Trucks, and the WSA Regional circuits administered directly by the WSA. These vehicles will include the 6x6 PTV, or Personal Task Vehicles, line of industrial strength ATVs, the ultra-rugged 4x4 UTV Utility Task Vehicles, with a cargo box capable of loads up to a half-ton, and the exceptional ASL All-Surface Loader.

The ASL utilizes a rubberized track suspension system that generates only 2.5 p.s.i. of pressure- less than that of the average person!- making it perfect for work on delicate surfaces and, of course, snow. Among its duties, with various attachments the ASL will be used to help construct the tracks, erect signage and safety barriers, and remove immobile snowmobiles from the track during events.

"When we arrive on site, it is crucial to have the right equipment to do the job, from set-up to running the event to teardown," according to WSA President Joe Duncan. "Now, with the great products from Polaris Professional Series, no matter where we are, we'll know we have the right tools for the job. Our events require a lot of heavy-duty set-up, and their Workmobiles and Generators can definitely handle anything we'll throw at them! They really do provide the ultimate in off-road power and comfort."

"Polaris is excited about this partnership between WSA and the Polaris Professional Series," added Polaris Professional Series product manager Tony Wixo. "The World Snowmobile Association offers us tremendous exposure both at race venues and through their media partners to key demographics for the Professional Series. Our heavy duty line of UTV and PTV vehicles, along with our generators, are specifically designed for the workplace and utilizing them on the job at race venues across North America is a perfect demonstration of their versatility and capabilities."

The products from this division of PPS have already become extremely popular with contactors and associated work sites, the construction industry, lawn and landscape professionals, mining applications and forestry management. A particular area of success for the line currently involves applications for survey crews who outfit the vehicles with GPS. And, PPS also has a fleet of vehicles working on a huge oil/natural gas field site in the southern US. The vehicles have proven more versatile, durable and affordable for the crews at this site than the pickups they were using previously.
